Today, I was asked to help build an 8ft rocket ship out of cardboard and paper. We had some downtime at work and decided to have a little creative fun. So, after a few trials and tribulations here is the rocket we built. Enjoy!

House Warming Vs. The Seven Deadly Sins of America
Artists may dabble through different styles from time to time. Whether it’d be from staying highly confined and detailed to staying more open and loose, artists move back and forth with styles until they feel comfortable. Some artist are comfortable with where they’re at and some/ if not most have established their own style already. Although, there’s still a great amount of artist that are trying develop their own style and are constantly trying out new techniques. As for myself, I constantly tend to go back and forth from my old techniques to my new techniques. The way I see it is, I like to go back to an old style for a second run and perfect it. Recently, through inspiration from a great friend of mine and fellow artist, Jesse Gammage. I’ve decided to take a second stab at the style I used for the “House Warming” series. In this case, I’ll take what techniques I felt was stronger from both old and new, add a few things here & there and see what comes of it.

Dirty Sketches Duece
Here’s a sketch update on Bombay Status’s album cover for, “Between Here & Reno”. I finally feel confident and satisfied with the sketches. One more sketch away and it’s time for execution! Thanks for being patient and be sure to check out Bombay Status at anytime @ Bombay Status.
The actual paintings will be a three canvas set one 20×20 for the front, a 20×60 for the inside, and a 20×40 for the back. The sketches above represent canvases one and two. The first one is a sketch of the front cover and the second is a sketch of the tri-fold inside like a CD booklet.

Buggin’ Out
A good friend of mine recently got the chance to lay some paint down on a 1972 Volkswagen Bug. The car was donated to get a quick make makeover at the BLICK Madness 09 event in Little Italy, San Diego. Montana Gold provided the paint, Blick provided the entertainment, and featured aerosol artist “Anoiz”, provided the skills. Here are the work in progress shots of the Volkswagen Bug.
The car is still a work in progress. As soon it is complete a full photo shoot will take place and the new shots will be posted! Till then feel free to bug out when you need to.

Dirty Sketches
While listening to Bombay Status’s new album, “Between Here & Reno” I decided to draw up a few sketches for the boys. With a little inspiration from artist, Alex Pardee, here’s what I came up with so far. Keep in mind these are just brainstorming sketches. The actual layout won’t be released until I lock down the final concept. This is where it starts!, with a few sketches and a couple nights of full listening sessions I can embrace the whole vibe and concept of the story that the boys are trying to tell.
